DALAWANG araw nang walang kuryente ang buong Siargao Island, Surigao del Norte.
Ito ang kinumpirma ng General Manager ng Siargao Electric Cooperative Sergio Dagooc. Ayon sa kanya simula pa ng gabi noong Nobyembre 14 walang kuryente sa buong isla ng Siargao.
Diumano’y tinamaan ng kidlat ang Force Insulator sa kanilang Substation at hindi na kinaya ng sistema para maibalik ang kuryente.
Sa ngayon, sinabi ni Dagooc na nagsagawa na sila ng koordinasyon sa National Grid Corporation of the Philippines para magamit ang ginagawa at itinatayong bagong substation. Ito ay gagamitin para maibalik ang kuryente sa Siargao. (Jojo Ferol/RMN News)
