Surigao Norte to hold 1st adventure sports tourism activity this August

As the province of Surigao del Norte is now fast becoming an adventure tourism destination in the country, the provincial government through the Provincial Tourism & Culture Office is set to hold a 1st Adventure Sports Tourism Activity this month of August.

In coordination with the League of Local Planning & Development Coordinators, the activity seeks to invite all adventure sports enthusiasts, LGU's, the academe, government line agencies and several business establishments to join the activity.

Prov'l Tourism Operations Officer Romeo Edillor of the Prov'l Tourism and Culture Office bared several activities that include Carrera Habagat Surigao Outdoor Lecture & Trainings on Adventure Race on August 14-15, 2008. This 2-day activity will be held at the Prov'l Planning & Dev't Office (PPDO) Conference Room, Capitol Compound this city. And the 1st Gov. Ace Barbers Dragon Boat Friendship Games Orientation Seminar on August 21-22, 2008 at PPDO Conference Room and Seafarers Inn & Beach Resort this city.

Edillor disclosed that a registration fee of P500 per training/workshop will be collected from the participants to cover the expenses on meals, snacks, training materials needed during the workshop.

A certificate of participation will also be given to successful participants.
