SURIGAO CITY-- The Junior Chamber International (JCI) Surigao with the Baby JCI Batch October 31, 2012, as kick-starters, adopted a tree in the city Luneta Park and decorated it with attracting Christmas lights.
The inauguration of the 'Light Up A Tree' was held last December 7, 2012 at the city Luneta Park, which was participated by different companies, government organizations and non-government organizations in the city and province.
The event is a regular project-activity of the Surigao City government every Christmas season.
Yuletide is already visible and felt by the Surigaonons because of the activity. Everybody is having fun, taking pictures with friends under the lighted trees in the park and beside Santa Claus and the huge Christmas tree near the City Gymnasium.
A live band also performed to entertain the viewers.
