Surigao City bares 7 contingents for Bonok-Bonok Maradjaw Karadjaw Festival 2016



SURIGAO CITY (Sept. 7) - The Surigao City Tourism Office has released its final listing of contingents for the Bonok-Bonok Maradjaw Karadjaw Festival 2016, which will be held on Friday, September 9, 2016 with this year’s theme, "Manajaw ta! Ang kalooy sa Dios maangkon ta."

Seven contingents from the different city barangays and schools and neighboring municipalities and provinces have already confirmed their participation.

The confirmed contingents are: Municipality of Cantilan; Lumad Carrascalanon Folkloric Ensemble, Carrascal, Surigao del Sur; Kapatagan National High School of Kapatagan Laak, Compostela Valley; Canlanipa Central Elementary School and Canlanipa Barangay Council; Lumad Poctoyanon in cooperation with W.D. Rafols Memorial National High School and J.R Clavero Memorial Elementary School; Lumad Capalaynon of Capalayan National High School; and Saint Paul University-Surigao City.

The 32nd Bonok-Bonok Maradjaw Karadjaw Festival is a festival of thanksgiving and invocation to the Almighty through the intercession of the city's patron saint Señor San Nicolas de Tolentino for the bountiful blessings of peace and good health.
