RH forum set in Surigao City

The Philippine NGO on Population, Health and Welfare Inc. (PNGOC) in cooperation with the Philippine Legislators’ Committee on Population and Development (PLCPD) Foundation will conduct a “Policy Forum on the Responsible Parenthood-Reproductive Health Bill” at Hotel Tavern, Borromeo St., Surigao City on June 24, 2011.

The policy forum aims to share the current status of the RP-RH and in the process hopes to garner the support of the participants to campaign for the passage of the RP-RH bill.

The forum will be joined by Congressman Angelo Palmones of AGHAM Partylist, Congressman Luz Ilagan of GABRIELA Partylist, Eden Divinagracia of the Philippine NGO Council on Population, Health and Welfare Inc. and, Mr. Tomas Osias of the Commission on Population (POPCOM).

Meanwhile, PNGOC will organize a meeting with media practitioners on Thursday with key speakers Cong. Palmones, Cong. Ilagan, and Dr. Divinagracia to discuss the RP-RH bill.

The activity is also made possible through the Forum for Family Planning and Development (FORUM), Reproductive Health Advocacy Network (RHAN), and the Commission on Population (POPCOM). (Erma S. Dabalos)
