The country's leading domestic airline, Cebu Pacific (CEB), begins its direct flights from Cebu to Ozamiz and Surigao earlier this month.
The former has a thrice weekly (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) service with the lowest all-inclusive Go Lite fare starting from P688. Meanwhile, the latter has a four times weekly (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday) service, which can be availed at the lowest year-round Go Lite Fare starting from P588. Passengers simply add P200 if they have check-in luggage.
These new flights mark the 18th and 19th destination CEB flies to from Cebu, respectively, signifying the importance of the airline's Cebu hub.
CEB continues to be the biggest airline operating from Cebu. It operates 184 domestic flights weekly to and from the Mactan Cebu International Airport.
From Cebu, CEB now services 15 domestic routes and four international cities (Singapore, Hong Kong, Incheon, Pusan) directly from Cebu. Aside from Ozamiz and Surigao, CEB flies to the following domestic destinations from Cebu: Bacolod, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Caticlan, Clark, Davao, Dipolog, General Santos, Iloilo, Puerto Princesa, Tacloban, Zamboanga and Manila.
Flights can be booked through www.cebupacificair.com or its reservations hotline (02)7020888 or (032) 2308888.
Now in its 13th year, CEB has the youngest aircraft fleet in the Philippines. It currently maintains four operational hubs in Manila, Cebu, Davao and Clark.
