‘Discovery’, the in-flight entertainment guide on Cathay Pacific, in its October issue cover page titled ‘Cool Asia 2009’, describes itself as the “guide to the best of the region”. In the listing under best beaches is “Paradise Found: Siargao beach Philippines and Unawatuna beach Sri Lanka – a peaceful coastline hemmed with coconut trees”.Being identified among the best by Cathay Pacific is a fillip for the location and the people who are poised to deliver and delight visitors. Cathay Pacific was voted the Airline of the Year 2009 in the Skytrax World Airline Awards – the third time in 10 years, and also named Best Airline in Asia.
