San Jose (Dinagat) Water District announces new monthly water meter replacement fees effective July 1

San Jose, Dinagat Islands — Starting July 1, 2025, consumers under the San Jose (Dinagat Island) Water District (SJDIWD) will see a revised monthly charge for water meter replacement, in line with the newly approved Board Resolution No. 017 Series of 2025.

The resolution, titled “Policy Guidelines on the Management, Maintenance, and Replacement of Water Meters”, aims to institutionalize proper upkeep and ensure timely replacement of water meters across the district.

The increase is part of the water district's proactive efforts to improve service delivery and infrastructure sustainability. According to the official notice, the new monthly fees will vary depending on the size of the consumer’s water meter:

 ½” (12.7 mm) – Php 25.00
 ¾” (20 mm) – Php 49.00
 1” (25 mm) – Php 73.00
 2” (50 mm) – Php 186.00

SJDIWD emphasized that the policy is meant to safeguard efficient operations and uninterrupted water services by ensuring that all meters are functional and well-maintained.

The water district urges all account holders to take note of the change and be guided accordingly in their future billing cycles.
