Condemn Bloods and Crips!
Stop Calling Bloods and Crips as Fraternity and Sorority!
Identify/Call them as a GANG!
Marajaw Inter-Fraternities and Sororities Association (MIFSA) or The Union of Fraternities and Sororities

MIFSA was organized on December 26, 2006 because Mayor Alfonso S. Casurra called a congress for the Youth of Surigao City and the so-called NGO Youth Sector was identified as one of the strength of Surigao Youth Bureau. The Vice President for the said sector was a representative of the Fraternities and Sororities, since then the Fraternities and Sororities conducted several joint-projects until now especially in its pilot college the Surigao State College of Technology, Main Campus.

Fraternities and Sororities have their respective Constitutions and By-laws, Aims and Purposes were to help the community where they exist, and with identified Alumni and Student Leaders.

Initiation of Fraternities and Sororities, especially here in our city, was already mitigated in respect to the anti-hazing law and the leaders of the Fraternities and Sororities were thoroughly orienting their members to mitigate yearly the initiations to prevent severe injuries with the tertiary student applicants - NO secondary and elementary.

We admit that our traditions are not favorable to the community who don't belong to us that is why we are trying our best to let our members understand the way we understand the situation of the new era.

WHILE:

BLOODS AND CRIPS are very much opposite to the Leadership of the Fraternities and Sororities in giving various services to the community of Surigao City and Surigao del Norte as a whole. During the City Local Youth Development Planning last August 2007 the conveners identified the BLOODS, CRIPS, BATANG X, and etc... as a MERE GANG LANG not a FRATERNITY AND SORORITY.

The BLOODS AND CRIPS began as violent, local, predominantly black and Hispanic street gangs in southern Los Angeles, California, in 1969. Active and highly successful in the drug trade, members of both groups are now being discovered in numerous other cities and states where they are attempting to control the local drug trade.

The BLOODS AND CRIPS here in the city of Surigao are recruiting elementary and secondary students who are not matured in handling any kind of organizations and are easy to be persuaded to do bad acts. The BLOODS AND CRIPS organized themselves to mobilize to kill people and ruin the lives of the youth of Surigao.

The Marajaw Inter-Fraternity and Sorority Association are trying the Best Things and Ways to in-line the aims and purposes of every Fraternities and Sororities here in Surigao to the National and Local Government Goals.

With regards to our traditions, we are doing our best to gradually mitigate it.
