Accomplishment on illegal logging in Libjo

On February 19, 2009 at 11:30 in the morning at Paragua, Barangay San Antonio, Libjo Dinagat Islands, joint team from Libjo Municipal Police Station led by PO3 Walter Casino and Sangguniang Bayan members led by SB Rogelio Magpatoc and SB Francisco Areglo recovered an abandoned illegally cut sawn lumbers at the above-mentioned place with estimated volume of 639 board feet and estimated market value of Php 10,863.00.

Recovered lumber were brought to Libjo Municipal Police Station for recording/documentation and subsequently turned-over to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) in the area for proper disposition.

Also, on February 22, 2009 at 2:45 in the morning at Purok-6, Barangay Bangonay, Jabonga, Agusan del Norte, PNP personnel of Jabonga Municipal Police Station led by PINSP Jonathan Satentes while conducting mobile patrol at said place, intercepted one unit ten wheeler truck, driven by a certain Johny Generisan, with plate number CTA 687, loaded with assorted sizes of lawaan lumbers with an estimated volume of 4,000 board feet.

Upon verification, no legal document was presented, prompting the PNP personnel to bring the cargo truck and driver to Jabonga Municipal Police Station. Coordination with DENR was conducted for proper disposition. (PNP-13/ PIA-13)
