CALLING/PAGING the SURIGAO CITY ENGINEERS OFFICE or whatever Department that has clout on Building /Housing construction permits... this is your time to implement guidelines and national codes and regulations to be followed to a "tee" (so to speak - strictly if not religiously) so that disastrous events of these nature can be minimized and dealt with quickly.
To our Surigaonon media contributors and friends, your energetic follow-up and follow-thru on this issue is deeply appreciated or next time we will say "here we go again, and back to square one"..gone are the days of being reactive and it's high time that we become pro-active, Notably to Ben Serrano, can we expect you to hammer on this issue once and for all?! and how are you related to the late Pampador Serrano also named Simon? when he became a US citizen...
I can't believe my eyes when i saw pictures posted in Facebook that housing structures are made to stand and built on silt as foundation and latrines that obviously diposes of its waste on the murky water below... what is the city and it's prior administration been doing?!!!
