Suspected 2 ‘narco-cops’ arrested in Surigao City

SURIGAO CITY (Nov. 7) - Police personnel in Surigao City have arrested two active members of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in an anti-illegal drug operation on Friday, Nov. 4, 2016 at around 2:45PM at Room 301, Sueños Inn, Burgos St., Brgy. Washington, this city.

The Surigao City Police Station Intelligence Section has arrested PO1 Arnel Galve Odog alias “Nonoy”, 46 years old, married, an active member of PNP Maritime Group, assigned at the Regional Office 13 and a resident of P-Reyes St. Extension, Brgy. Taft, Surigao City and PO2 Ronnie Capanpan Custodio alias “Ron-Ron”, 31 years old, married, an active member of the PNP assigned at Tagana-an Municipal Police Station and a resident of Parrucho st., Brgy. Washington, Surigao City.

Seized from the possession of PO1 Odog were two plastic sachets of suspected shabu bought by the poseur-buyer from the suspect, one thousand seso bill in different denominations served as marked money, and black coin purse containing seven plastic sachets of suspected shabu.

Also, the PNP team recovered from the possession and control of PO2 Ronie Custodio two assorted cellular phones, blue disposable lighter and a fifty-peso bill.

The PNP said that Odog and Custodio were on the watch list and categorized as High Value Target (HVT) on Illegal Drug Personalities.

They are now in the custody of Surigao City Police Station for filing of violations of R.A. No. 9165.
