Mayor Nitoy doubles reward for arrest of suspect who stabbed his political analyst

City Mayor Ernesto Matugas has doubled the cash reward from P50,000 to P100,000 for any information leading to the arrest of a man who stabbed his political analyst and acting City Administrator Balgamelo Cabiling Ma.

Ma, 59 years old, married, was stabbed using an improvised bladed instrument by an unidentified suspect last Monday, Nov. 22 at around 5:45pm in front of his home along Gonzales corner Roxas streets this city hitting on the left-side part of his body.

In an interview recently, Mayor Matugas said until now the local police are still clueless as to the identity of the suspect.

Initial investigation revealed that the suspect is about 5′9″ in height, thin face, fair complexion, wearing a black bull cap, black jacket and long pants.

“I urged everyone if you have information to the suspect, please report it to me directly,” Matugas said. He assured that any information that will lead to the arrest of the suspect will be treated confidentially.

“This kind of people has no place in our city,” said Matugas as he strongly condemned the attack on his close political analyst. (PIA-Surigao del Norte)
