Cebu Pacific flies from Cebu to Siargao today

Low-fare airline Cebu Pacific (CEB) starts its thrice-weekly service from Cebu to Siargao today.

The Cebu-Siargao service operates every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The flight departs from Cebu at 10:45am and arrives in Siargao at 11:55am. The return flight leaves at 12:15pm and reaches Cebu at 1:25pm.

“We believe that this new service will provide great convenience to travelers looking for a speedy and affordable means of going to the surfing capital of Philippines,” said Candice Iyog, CEB Vice President for Marketing and Distribution.

“Siargao is a prime leisure destination and has a lot of world-class resort facilities for local and foreign tourists. We hope many will take advantage of this air travel option between the two tourism driven islands of Cebu and Siargao,” she added.

“We are grateful to Cebu Pacific for its first commercial flight to Siargao Island. This will enhance and further boost our tourism landscape, and stimulate job employment. Siargao is a popular for destination for surfers and we are also developing this destination for game fishing,” said Hon. Congressman Francisco Matugas, Representative of the First District of Surigao del Norte.

Instead of taking bus and ferry rides from Surigao, passengers can avail of CEB’s one hour and ten minute Cebu-Siargao flight. The lowest one-way year round ‘Go Lite’ fare for this service starts from P1,188 all-in. Passengers with check-in bags will just add P200.

The airline is also offering a Manila-Siargao connection through Cebu. The lowest available ‘Go Lite’ through fare for this route starts from P2,188 all-in.

Now on its 13th year, CEB has the youngest aircraft fleet in the country. It flies to 15 international cities and 31 domestic destinations, including Siargao.
