Thanksgiving Mass at the start of the New Year

For the tenth time, the City Government of Surigao started the year of public services with a Thanksgiving Mass at the City Cathedral at 7:00 o’clock in the morning of January 4, 2010, the first day of work for the New Year.


In his homily, Fr. Ernesto Virgen, the Parish Priest of Surigao City Cathedral emphasized the importance of giving gratitude to the Almighty for the graces that has been received by the LGU and its employees and praised the City Government under the leadership of Mayor Pons Casurra for spearheading the annual thanksgiving since he assumed as the City Mayor of Surigao 2000.
